Christmas Day

It's Christmas morning adt 6:18am here in Florida. I can't believe how quickly time has passed. Between eating Christmas cookies and opening a few presents early, it's been fun. However, I can't help but realize in my age that presents don't mean nearly as much as the memories. I am 31. As much as a ton of presents underneath the tree excites me, I am saddened. All these years before as a child, teen and even a young adult, I thought presents were everything. Now, I know I'll be on a short term high getting presents this morning but I also know it will not fulfill me. That's the problem with America. We can be too materialistic.

Things like family, God and making memories and giving each other hugs. Those are things I will remember the most when my Mom and Grandma pass.
